Albertsons Supermarkets @ Colleyville
I usually default to grocery shopping at Super Targets because I like having the option of a mundane trip for frozen pizza and toilet paper morphing into trying on dresses and shoes and OH MY! panties are 5 for 15!? But, I do admit that Target can be expensive for some items, especially their meat and the fish always looks kinda rough. Right across the street is this Albertson's. So many of them are closed that walking in here was like reconnecting with an old friend. And I mean old, this place has not gotten a makeover in a while, it shows its age. But it also has some really odd signage -the drink aisle is Beverage Boulevard and the snack aisle has a giant bowl full of chips hovering above it. The feminine hygiene faces the frozen food aisle, so if you are looking for chilled maxi pads, this is your place! They also have these handy little charts on the carts that tell you what aisles various items are on, very helpful! I really do think their prices are pretty good, they have BOGO meat and chicken sometimes and it's like HELLO free meat, who can resist? No discount card required, too, which is nice. Above all, the employees are all really normal, not chatty or rude, just down to business.
