   Pay hundreds of dollars for an iPod/iPhone/iPad and then pay 1 dollar a song?!? 300-500 songs lagers your in more then buying the IPod itself! And they expect us not to download music "illegally", that's ridiculous!

   You act like it's the iPod that's the important thing, and the music is just an afterthought. You've got it all wrong. The music is what matters, and the iPod is just some trivial device to play it on, no more important than an old AM radio. The music should (and will) always be more valuable than the iPod. Without music, an iPod is nothing, but the converse is in no way true. Music was important before mp3 players came along, and will be important long after they're gone. If I had to choose between losing my iPod and losing all my music?? Sorry, but bye-bye iPod.
   
   By downloading illegally, you take away the incentive for bands to produce music. Why should they spend their time and energy creating music just so spotty little oiks can download it for free off the internet?? What makes music any different to any other product? You want it, you've got to buy it. If you steal it, you take money out of the pocket of the artist. If *everybody* steals it, the artist goes broke and goes to work in McDonalds. No more music for you. Then what would you do with your precious iPod?
