   Unfortunately not. They never made a 3rd generation 8th iPod touch. I bought mine thinking it was 3rd gen too, but, turns out it's 2 gen. The 3rd gen is only 32gb and 64 gb. So, no multitasking for you iPod. However, you can jailbreak it to get multitasking. One warning though, after time... You'll realize your iPod being slower and all due to the jailbreak.
